Expel (Celestra, #6) by Addison MooreMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
As people who know me can attest, I am a die hard Celestra fan. I love this series. The first thing I do every Tuesday morning is check out the teasers on Addison's FB page. I bought this book as soon as I could find the link. I am constantly tagging her page when people ask for book recommendations. Whenever I am this excited about a book release, I always worry that I will be let down. Often I am. With this series, I never have been. I loved this book!!
Here are some things I loved about it:
*Expel was well thought out. It linked to things that happened in each of the books and no matter what twist was thrown at you, it made sense and was consistent.
*Marshall. Yes, I said Marshall. You really saw a different side of him in this book and to be honest, I like him a lot more now. He is still Marshall, but he has redeeming qualities and I feel I understand him better.
*This book answered a lot of questions I have had through the book. One of those answers broke my heart, but I knew when I was asking it that it would.
*Once again I found myself laughing out loud at parts of this book. I really seem to connect with the author's sense of humor.
*The story line really made some significant progress. Often when I read a series that has many books, I feel like some of them should be combined because they really do nothing for the storyline. I have never felt this way with this series.
*This book was long. Not insanely, "How am I am never going to be able to finish it?" long, but "Wow, this was so worth the wait and I really got many hours of enjoyment out of this book." long.
*The writing is simply wonderful. I enjoy how Addison weaves her words. Her voice as an author is unique and simply enjoyable. I find myself highlighting away as I read. She writes the way I wish I could speak.
*She introduces a new potential character named Delphinius. I know it is silly, but I never see any version of my name in a book. It made me smile.
I wish I was part of a discussion group for this book. There is so much I would love to discuss. It made me laugh and broke my heart. It took me to familiar territory and shocked my by ending up places I could never have imagined. I completely understand why Fox is interested in turning this into a television series. It is simply wonderful.
